Gold Coast Writers Association 2020 Anthology Volume 2

Why not test out your skills and enter the The Gold Coast Writers’ Association invites you to submit a SHORT STORY or POEM to our Writing Competition. The winners will feature in the 2020 Anthology.

The 2020 Anthology will be promoted to the GCWA membership and over 500 eNewsletter subscribers.

Successful contributors will be published in the anthology and receive a free copy. They will also be invited to attend the book launch.

Due date extended: 5.00 pm on 14 June 2020

The entry fee must be paid into the GCWA bank account within one week of submission or paid in cash at the next GCWA monthly meeting. Bank details will be provided via the submission entry receipt email.

ENTRY TERMS & CONDITIONS: ·Entries must be received by email on or before 5.00pm on 14 June 2020. ·

  1. Entries must be a short story or poem of between 100 and 2,000 words.
  2. Entries must be a digital Word format file submitted by email
  3. The email headline must state your name, the theme you have selected, and the number of words (of your story/poem)
  4. The email must include your name, mobile number and email address
  5. A short (150-word) author biography must be submitted with your entry.

A panel of experienced, published writers and qualified editors will review all entries. Out of respect to the editors, please ensure you undertake a spelling and grammar check of your work BEFORE submission.

Entries that are judged suitable for publication will be edited, with your involvement, before professional publication in our 2020 Anthology. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into :).
